Work Smarter, not Harder

By
Real Estate Agent with Southern Homes of the Carolinas 254679

Hiring a real estate assistant is such a great idea.  Spending your time making flyers, marketing, filing, and doing all of the general office duties are great but are very time consuming.  Hiring an assistant is one of the single best things to do to maximize your time and productivity.

Work smarter, not harder.  I have been in real estate for less than 1 year have almost 20 listings, several homes under contract and I am working with several active buyers.  Having an assistant has allowed me to do this without running out of time for my clients.

Try it... it will make you better/more productive and make more money.

I think having an assistant is a great idea. It is a concern because of the constant changes in the market. I would feel horrible if there wasn't enough work for an assistant all of the sudden. Also, wages have been a concern as well what does a typical assistant earn? How do you deal with these things?

I've thought of an assistant many times.  The ups and downs in the market has also concerned me on how pay would work out.  I'm curious to know what pay arrangements you have for yours, it seems that there are several options.

Having an assistant is a fantastic idea and Sarah, you hit the nail right on the head -- it maximizes your time and productivity and can lead to a great increase in income. Working with a Virtual Assistant can solve the problem of worrying about running out of work for an assistant. VAs are available to work on a project basis, and you pay for time spent on task. That way you don't have to worry about paying someone for surfing the Internet, chatting at the watercooler, or talking on the phone on personal calls during downtime. You also don't have to worry about someone being in your personal *space* if you primarily work from home. With today's technology, just about any task can be handled virtually by a competent professional assistant.
