No, actually, I don't liketo pay property taxes, but at least in the US it is easy to do so.  You get a bill by mail or you can login to the county site and get the information online.  The amount collected goes back into the local  community for all kinds of good things like libraries, schools, police, etc.

Until now, if you lived in Mexico, you had to go to the county collection site, have them look up your account and then tell you how much you owe.  By the way, you have to pay in cash.  They will take US dollars though with a decent exchange rate. 

Good news, now you can go online to get the amount and even pay online.  This is big news if you don't live there.  Otherwise you needed to have someone go in and pay for you or make a special trip at tax time of year.

Yes, the US is pretty nice.
