One of Charlotte's favorite pastimes is GOLFING!  Young and old alike, men, women and children--Charlotte is full of golf-loving folks!  While some neighborhoods are situated on the golf courses, others are positioned between 2 or more and have access to more than one course.  Here are, but a few, of our popular courses.

The 18-hole "Piper Glen" course at the TPC at Piper Glen facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 6,883 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.2 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Zoysia grass.  Designed by Arnold Palmer, the Piper Glen golf course opened in 1988. PGA Tour Properties manages this facility, with Ronnie Parker as the General Manager.

The 18-hole "South" course at the Raintree Country Club facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 6,722 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 73.3 and it has a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Russell F. Breedon, the South golf course opened in 1971. 

The 18-hole "North" course at the Raintree Country Club facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 6,579 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.4 and it has a slope rating of 126 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Russell F. Breedon, the North golf course opened in 1971. Jim Troutman manages the course as the General Manager/director of Golf.

The 18-hole "Providence" course at the Providence Country Club facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 7,008 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74 and it has a slope rating of 139 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Dan F. Maples, ASGCA/(R)Michael E. Gleason, ASGCA, the Providence golf course opened in 2006. Jerry Van Houten manages the course as the General Manager.

The course rating is 73 and it has a slope rating of 133.  Designed by Land Design/Shape Makers, the Golf Club golf course opened in 1998. Steve Kalczynski manages the course as the General Manager.

The course rating is 74.1 and it has a slope rating of 131 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by Ellis Maples, ASGCA/(R) Rees Jones, ASGCA, the South golf course opened in 1962.  The 18-hole "North" course at the Carmel Country Club facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 6,701 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.2 and it has a slope rating of 132 on Bermuda grass.  Designed by George W. Cobb, ASGCA/(R) Tom Jackson, the North golf course opened in 1950. John Schultz serves as the General Manager.

Home of the Wachovia Championship since 2003 the 18-hole "Quail Hollow" course at the Quail Hollow Club facility in Charlotte, North Carolina features 7,114 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.9 and it has a slope rating of 139.  Designed by George W. Cobb, ASGCA, the Quail Hollow golf course opened in 1961. Brad Green manages the course as the General Manager.
