Balboa Island is an area of Newport Beach that is in fact actually an island - well actually it is divided into three islands. The main island, the little island and Collins island are areas of Balboa Island. The main island has approximately 1200 homes, the little island has approximately 230 homes and is located across the Grand Canal.

Balboa Island features both waterfront and interior homes. All the streets are named after semi precious stones - for example Jade and Onyx. Balboa Island has a definite charm, It is a pedestrian community and you can walk around the islands for a morning or evening stroll, or walk down Marine Avenue for shopping and dining.

The homes on the water feature slips and boats are moored out front as well.

There is a ferry that connects the Balboa Peninsula to Balboa Island.
