I wanted to share with my AR Home Staging colleagues something that may help your days go smoother when you are out of your office but you need a desk to work at, time to organize between appointments, time to relax or time to just look at some fabulous furniture! :)

After our Stage It Forward Round Table at Brook Furniture Rental in Newport Beach, CA I received a lovely email from Teri Nelson the District Sales Manager:

I enjoyed meeting you at the Stager's Round Table. Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to host your group. What a great bunch. I was struck by the great amount of business savvy that these stagers have and the many contributions they were able to make to a very productive discussion.

I was sincere when I made the offer for your group to use our showrooms as a "pit stop" whenever needed. We can always offer a comfortable chair, a place to plug in a computer, desk top work space and probably a cup of coffee too! "

Brook Furniture Rental is a wonderful company with friendly & extremely helpful customer service and excellant furniture. What more could you ask for?

I was truly touched by this email. I finally believe Home Stagers are getting a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Just a little bit......:) This is only the beginning of a lot more to come for the Staging Industry! Wooo Hoooo!

Hi Janice, What a great relationship with Brook! That looks like a beautiful space to "hang out" in, too. Loved the video! Who are those very energetic gals?

LOL, cute video! Brook is hosting our ASHSR chapter meeting in a few weeks...I'm excited about it. They've been very gracious thus far. What a nice offer too...COFFEE! =)

I wish just one of our furniture rental companies would give me an invitation like that! (no Brooks here, boo-hoo). LOVED the video- reminded me of my youngest daughter and her friends when she was in high school. Sooo much drama & humor. Now I am lonesome for her, but she'll be home for Easter!

Janice, this whole post leaves me smiling! The fact that Brook has been so gracious to offer above and beyond what was originally asked of them is simply fantastic. Take advantage of the offer and grow an even better relationship! Way cool. Then you add this video which is outrageously fun. It actually cracked me up. Who are these great gals?

Diana - I am happy to have found such a wonderful Rental Company to work with. I do not know who those lovely ladies are but the one on the right reminds me of my 12 year old daughter. Too funny!

Janice, loved the video - you're right, the girls are super! We have a new furniture rental company here in Calgary and they too allow us to drop in and use their tables and they also will let us host our staging group every second month. They even provide food and drink. Gotta' love it. RESPECT is great. Betty

Brook Furniture Rentals is graciously hosting our SIF Roundtable in Walnut Creek this summer! Yahoo!

Wish we had a Brooks store in our area. There are a couple rental places here but it's often an "iffy", last minute "whatever's on the floor at the time" experience which doesn't serve well to get the right kind of furniture in a particular home.

I'm wiling to purchase a couple more complete furniture groupings but I've told associates many times that for a Stager, purchasing inventory is sort of like a cat chewing on a ball of string. Those barbs on the cat's tongue point in one direction and the cat keeps getting more and more and more string down its throat.

As Stagers, we just keep getting more and more and more inventory in our garage/storage/

Kathy -It is fantastic! I had no idea that this offer from Brook would come from a SIF RT meeting! It's nice to know that we are no longer "just stagers." We are professional home stagers that are serious about our businesses and the RE market.

Having your own inventory can be a challenge. I have tons of inventory but you always seem to need more! Ugh!

Kathleen - Awwww I am so sorry! Are you happy with your current Rental Company? Maybe they will give you the same respect that Brook is giving to their clients. Yah never know! :)
