Some time ago, I attended a funeral for a 5 year old who drowned while visiting family in Manahawkin, NJ.  It was one of the most difficult things I've ever experienced, and the tragedy is that it didn't have to happen.  Look at this amazing video of 11 month old Miles, and you may want to rethink the closing gift you'll give to your next client who buys a house with a pool.

The infant you just saw, little Miles, was trained by an ISR certified instructor.  He's now four years old.  Click here to see the rest of his story.

If you're relocating to Tucson, and for neighbors and friends who already live here, there are 12 locations with trained ISR instructors in greater Tucson.

Safety, especially the safety of our youngest and most vulnerable, is something that we in the real estate and lending community can actively foster through our awareness of programs like Infant Swimming Resource.

And that's the real estate opinion of this Tucson, Arizona mortgage lender,

Mike - Pool safety for small children is so important, and it is never too late to start swimming lessons.  I love that you are posting this, and you could save a life.  Good job.

Awesome Mike! What a great time of year to post this. Swimming pool weather is just around the corner and a little one can get away pretty quickly. It's always better to be prepared just in case.

One of my biggest fears is that my child my drown. This more than brought me tears, it made me bawl.  I cannot imagine losing a child, EVER.  What a fabulous thing to teach children.  WOW.  Thanks Mike.

Mike,  Wow, I'm so thankful that mine know how to swim and are older.  Granny had a pool so they learned early, but this is incredible.

Mike - Pool safety cannot be stressed too much! Fences and gates around pools, alarms on doors leading to pools - if you have children, these things are a must!

Bill & Barbara Jo,

I had no idea that children this young could be taught to swim, turn over, and float while calling for help!

David,

It is incredible, isn't it?

Tony,

Thank you!  Thank you!!

Ginger,

Mike:

Thanks for this post. We all need to be reminded it just takes seconds. The hurt and grief will last a life time.
