Mom's are wonderful, Livingston County Michigan

Here's  to my Mom...

THANK YOU>>>>!!!

When I first started my business in Real Estate I was annoyed at my mom with all her questions and input.

I often felt like she was the one going through the schooling and training.

But as I reflect back I realize she was only trying to be involved with my studying, excitement, and anxiety. Maybe even trying to make it better or easier.

Some times as an adult (kinda like when we were teenagers) it is hard to listen and learn from our parents.

And now my Mom is kinda like my assistant without the pay. She will run arrons for me. Pick stuff up for me drop things off at my office, go to the post office for me and even do my banking. Drop off and pick up my dry cleaning.

All with a smile! She never once has complained or frowned. She wont even take  gas money from me.

She is always the first one to ask how a listing or showing appointment went! And when the chips are down and I am feeling less adequate she is the FIRST to boost me and push me to keep going all with the same smile.

I didn't realize how amazing she was until I asked her to pick up a box of Michigan State maps at my office, and when I went to her car to get them the box was very heavy. And I was amazed that she never complained......

I think next time I have a few extra bucks I will take my mom to Lunch. Even though she will say I shouldn't because money is tight and she could cook cheaper. :)

I hope when I am that age and my children are doing what ever they will be doing in life I have the same patience, comfort and helpfulness she has for me...

Thanks MOM

Good luck, that generation was different. My grandmother will be 75 this year and she does everything herself, rototillers her huge garden which is a quarter of the size she used to have but it 3 times the size of most peoples. She is strong and amazing but no generation will match up to that. This up and ocming generation has a lack of responsibility loves to whine and well I could go on, while they will grow and change come nothing will be like that generation.

Darci, excellent ThemThem for Mom. I know the feeling coming out of a business with my Dad. He to had a lot of input that I felt I knew, but in the long run Dad and Mom always know best. Thank goodness for the backing of parents.

Thanks for sharing,

Duane

Heather,

Yes I have 4 children, 2 which are almost grown 22 and 17 and they do whine and think the world owes them. And you are right that generation(the older) is remarkable with no doubt. I just hope to be more like them. so I can help my children. Be more like me. HA HA>>>

You are fortunate to have a wonderful Mom. I am sure you will be just like her with your kids because you have a good role model. My Mom is great and even now when I go to India for a visit she wants to do things for me and does not let me to much   around the house. I find I am the same way with my son.

Darci isnt it great to have a Mom like that. My mother still works so she cant help with any of my running around. My mother is my sounding board she will listen and give advice or encouagement whichever I need at the moment.

Hi Darci.  This is so true,  Mom's do lots of things most times without getting any recognition.  Thanks for the post.  This is a wonderful tribute to your Mom.

Gita, That is so funny. I am always telling my mom to sit down when she comes over. She is always fussing over my house. I feel like she comes to clean and not visit. LOL. But I love her anyway and hey a free cleaning.

Richard,

Yes I thought it was a well deserved post. I am not always the most thankful to my mother. So  I figured this was a nice way to tell her thanks.

Vicky, I find myself being my kids whipping post. LOL... But that is cool. I guess what comes around goes around. I know my mom has been mine.
