It's ironic that the podcast would be released about 1 year after joining Active Rain myself. WOW - what a difference a year makes.

Hi Cyndee: I have just finished listening to your podcast on By Referral Only. The email from them came out today. Great stuff... thanks so much for sharing.

Jeff: I just listened to Cyndee's podcast. The link to it was on the By Referral Only dashboard that Cyndee and I belong to. They sent out an email today letting us know that they were featuring Cyndee's podcast. I have found By Referral Only much more "real world friendly" than others... including Brian Buffini's program.

Cyndee - Good to see you and happy anniversary. The last year has had a dramtic effect on your business in a good way, not to mention all the friends you have made here. Congratulation on the Podcast interview.

I am glad to hear all the positive responses left on this great site, but what has not been mentioned is that this company is on its way out of business. From what I hear from an employee is that 50% of their staff is being let go and there are rumors of BK, so with that all said, you might want to think about finding another outlet, wait times to get a live coach are going to be something to see....

Hello "Mike": So sorry you could not leave us a way of contacting you. I have recently spoken to By Referral Only, and they seem to be as strong as ever. I have just signed up for a second year of "Platinum Membership" on By Referral Only, and am going to be attending my second Main Event in about a week... on April 7,8,9 at the Hyatt Reunion in Dallas. I have attended both the Brian Buffini Turning Point, and the By Referral Only Main Event, and feel the Main Event with Joe Stumpf has much more "hands on" value... especially in today's challenging market.

I have not heard any negative rumors about By Referral Only, so perhaps the only one spreading those negative rumors... is you ?

Hi Mike, It makes us wonder about your integrity when you post anonymously. None the less the truth is 8 employees were involved in a reduction in departments where we have improved efficiencies and had extra capacity. Since it appears that you are unfamiliar with our community and really are misinformed I would like to be sure to set the record straight. We have over 100 employees here at our Carlsbad offices. The parking lot is full. You said, “you might want to think about finding another outlet, wait times to get a live coach are going to be something to see....” You obviously know nothing about our service commitment to our members. Our coaches are assigned to members and the coaching calls are prescheduled. There is no wait time. It’s a prescheduled call. Maybe Mike is talking about another company that uses a “call in” line where the members have to wait. Maybe that’s the company that just got cut in half. Not over here. I work over here with Joe at By Referral Only and we aren’t going anywhere. 23 years in business producing bankable results for our members. I am glad Curt shared his insider view since it's not knowledge I would have.

Like Karen - I've been involved with BRO for 2 years and always had a quick response for tech support and the coaching staff - absolutely no complaints. As a matter of fact I had a situation last year where I needed technical support and the person that helped me went so far above and beyond and was truly amazing I wrote a testimonial letter because what stuck me was the "culture" of genuinely being referable - you can't buy that, so for me, that said more about the company than ALL the other "scheduled" calls I'd had. While no organization is perfect -

I believe each person should pick a style that is really "authentic" to them - even if something did happen to By Referral Only as a company- I am a better REALTOR for what I have learned by being a part of it. If it's not the style for you - fine.

I also think in this market anyone who hasn't tightened their belt is FOOLISH - these are challenging times and I believe wise people make wise choices to weather the storms for longevity so even if they do have fewer coaches due to less demand maybe - why does that mean the sky is falling?

P.S. Did I mention I got a referral from a REALTOR in Colorado last night for a buyer in St Petersburg last night - one of many I've received this year from like minded REALTORS and Mortgage Professionals.

I have been a BRO member since Dec. This week on my coaching call my coach told me that you were here on active rain and to check out your blog. I have been reading away. Thanks so much for all the helpful hints. I did listen to your pod cast on the BRO site. It was really helpful in educating me how to write my entries for my reader. I am brand new to blogging and still refining my style. Thanks again.
