Sarah...I am so proud of you.

You young kids are really shinning.  We are lucky to have so many younger people in real estate that have the dedication you do.  I am fortunate to know you and enjoy working with you on FAAR's Grievance Committee.

Cheers to Sarah,

Kathleen

Sarah, Congratulations!  I'm taking the exam this Tuesday and looking forward to being recognized as a broker.  Of course, the title is one thing, but the extra knowledge that came from the broker's classes is invaluable.

Congratulations!  I'm working on my brokers prelicensing course now!  I hope to have my Broker's License soon!

I am taking the course online, it's tricky but fits my time schedule better than attending a class.  I took my licensing course that way too!  Has anyone else taken their broker course online?  How did it go?  Online or classroom, which do you prefer?

Congratulations, Sarah!  That is a huge accomplishment and you should be VERY proud!  I hope this opens your career up in new and profitable ways.

Great Job!  Doors will open for you and having a brokers license will give you a little more credibility with clients.  Good Job!

Thanks Everyone!  I am still on cloud nine!

Dee- I took the at-home course study.  The local real estate school stopped offering the classes at the Association, neutral ground, and started having it in real estate offices.  I really don't like the office they were being offered at, not known for being a great office and they now allow the sponsoring company to promote their propaganda.  I liked the at-home course study.  It took me one month of book study and two weeks of online practice tests.  If you can get your hands on practice tests, so it!  That was invaluable!  Made the actual exam so moch easier!

Brian - Good luck on Tuesday.  Do you have the Moseley practice tests?  Get them now.  If you order today you can activate by Monday morning.  You will have a day to review.  The tests really did prepare me, even though I hate Moseley!  I only got my Broker's so I can continue to teach. I teach Fair Housing, Ethics, ABR, and now pre-licensing.

Kathleen - Thank you!  It is a pleasure to work with you as well!

To All - I encourage all that want to pursure your Broker's Good Luck!  It was all worth it!

Thanks Again!

Congrats Sara! Did you study in a class or thru homestudy (book) or online?
2:56pm • #20
Hi DeeDee!  I did homestudy, book and online.  I read the book and did the tests in the book and then I ordered the online practice tests.  Finished the entire process in a month and a half.

You took all the VA Brokers license classes in one month on line?  Wow!  Congratulations.

6:43am • #25

Kenny - Yep, I've been working on it for about a month.  And no, it wasn't easy.  Lots of studying, especially since I didn't do the classroom version.  But, the classroom version just wasn't practical for me.

Cindy - Yep, about a month.  I read the book and did the online practice tests.  The practice tests helped the most.  This is probably one of the only times I have ever focsued so much.  This has been my life since January.  I've also had my busiest real estate month since three years ago!  I've been very busy and very tired!  But it is over now!  Yay!  No more tests!

Susan, I'm so glad to hear of your success with online learning.  Many say it's too difficult so it's good to talk to someone who has passed using this mode of instruction. Thanks much for sharing!!

Congratulations! I also got my brokers license in 2005, and I can't believe how much I really did learn in the process.  Often I realize that I'm actually using something I learned from the course/exam... something that has not proven true for several college courses I took when I got a BA degree!  :)

Congratulations Sarah,

Just out of curiosity, do most people have to take it twice?

10:28am • #34

Zach- Lots do not pass their first time.  A guy in my last office took 3 tries.  I guess it will depend on how dedicated you are to studying and how well you take this type of test.  Or, if you are tired the day of the exam from being a 24/7 agent.  (wink)

Sarah,

Well then you must be very devotated to the time that you do spend as a Realtor.  Could one ask for more? (wink)

11:00am • #36
Zack - Good!  We've winked and made up!  :)  And yes, my heart is in everything that I do, but there are limits on the time I can devote to each aspect of my life.
