Working with Internet Leads

My first four years selling real estate have been driven primarily by working internet leads from JustListed.Com and HouseValues.com. Following their formulas for success and some of my own trial and error, I have been reasonably successful where many others in my office and area have given up on these types of services.

I have found that if you devote yourself to a marketing method, it will work out for you, whether it is working with expired listings, For Sale By Owners, networking or other client aquistion activities.

The key to working internet leads seems to be responding quickly, following up and not giving up. Also, treating every lead the same and not assuming anything about the quality or seriousness of a lead is important.

Of course, I'm chained to my desk and check e-mail 25 times a day.  But, we sell a lot of Internet buyers.

Thanks for the blog, i used to brag that I was great at converting leads, when I was with a small company and most of the leads were referral or office walk-ins very few internet leads.  When i had to move to a large company it was a real shock to find I did't have a clue how to work internet inquiries.  I agree that you should not assume on quality of the lead.   Bill
