Top Things We Hate* in Ann Arbor

10. Cloudy days
  9. Art Fair
  8. Long drives
  7. Drivers who don't look for pedestrians
  6. School officials who take jobs, make plans and then run out of town
  5. Closing streets...(what do you mean you're considering Main between Stadium & Keech????  Are you crazy?)
  4. Clubs that don't allow diversity among members or leaders
  3. Potholes
  2. Property taxes                                                                        Ann Arbor taxes
  1. Ohio State

You can think of this list as things we really dislike and we don't hate OSU graduates...its just a football thing.  I'm sure football fans get it.

 *  That is a strong word, really we just strongly dislike these things (although some

football fans would argue that statement).

Also if you see Art Fair on the list for hate and love...its not a typo.  It is an Ann Arbor thing.  I'll post about it  another time, but many townies agree that "its not art and its not fair".  I personally love it.  But we do have 500,000 people come into town over 4 days and lets just say it makes it difficult to share our lovely downtown.

Anyway, welcome to Ann Arbor, Michigan and if you have any questions or comments about my top 10 list please be sure to share!  Remember football season is only 7 months away!

Karen...Having spent eight years living in Kent, Ohio I understand completely your #1 on the %*@# list.  Not that I was supporting Ohio State.  Back then my family were Notre Dame fans.

Cheers,

Kathleen

Kathleen,  Truth be told, I'm from Cincinnati but gave away any Buckeye thoughts when I had my babies 3 doors down from the Big House (well they came home from the hospital there in our little home) and I've never looked back.  Go Blue!!

I love these lists!  I can't wait until I have lived in my new home state of NC to be able to confidently create such a list.  You clearly know your community very well.
