New Houses need to be inspected too

By
Home Inspector with Clear Choice Home Inspections, Inc
A Raleigh home inspection blog by Clear Choice Home Inspections.  Inspected new construction yesterday and found a plumbing leak, a split floor joist and 24 other more minor issues.  The cost to the client for the inspection: $325.  The cost if the client brought in a handyman, plumber and electrician to fix: $1,000+.  Now my client will have the builder make the repairs before closing so no cost out of his pocket and no headaches dealing with service folks.  A home inspection pays for itself 100% of the time.

Thanks!  I enjoy working with good agents like yourself.  I just posted a link to an article I wrote about "cute little houses" - applies to old homes that have been "renovated".  Inspected on the other day that a contractor gave a quote for foundation repair...  $39K!  Yikes!
