Selling or purchasing a home can be an emotional experience.   When negotiating back and forth, buyers and sellers can get frustrated...tempers may flare.  It is the agent's job to be the "go-between" - each agent for their respective party - to keep communication flowing, and to "smooth things over" if need be.  If agents aren't careful, they can also get caught up in this and maybe even spread the "bad" attitude.  It is wise, if at all possible, for agents to keep any bad attitude that they may perceive from their client, to themselves.  Don't pass it on to the other agent.  Also, the opposite is true - Don't pass the other agent's bad attitude on to your client.  Focus on the goal of bringing two parties to agreement, making it as pleasant an experience as possible.

Everyone thinks their home is the "perfect home to sell". It can be a very emotional experience.

Hi Debi:  I must agree with you.  One of the agent's primary duties is to keep the lines of communication open between their client, and the other agent and their client.  Flaring emotions can only hurt the transaction.

Debi, I have noticed that you are somewhat of a newbie, and have been making posts since early February.  I have also noticed that most of your posts have had nobody comment on them.  May I make a few suggestions?

First... I went to your points summary, and noticed you have made only ONE comment on another writer's post... but have written 26 posts yourself.  I suggest you start reading as many of the other writer's posts as you can, and start making comments on them.

The reason for this is that once people see that you are reaching out and commenting on their posts... if they enjoy your comments... they will be much more likely to search out your posts... and begin commenting on them.

Also, as you read other writer's posts... you can see how they write, and perhaps pick up some pointers on their style, and make some modifications to your posts... thus making them more appealing, and more apt to bring comments from your readers.

Welcome to Active Rain.  If I can be of any help to you, please ask.  Take care...

Karen, Thank you so much!  I really appreciate your help.  :)   Honestly, I've been avoiding reading other people's blogs because I'm afraid I might accidentally copy them.  I really don't want to do that.  But, I will start reading other's blogs and commenting on them.  Take Care!

There must be a clear delineation between having passion vs. attitude.  I have a really positive attitude in general, but if I'm passionate about something, negativism may be misperceived.
