Calling all Realtors - LEARN ABOUT REVERSE MORTGAGES! They can help YOU sell a home!

Several times recently, I have talked to local Realtors about Reverse Mortgages.  "No", "They are bad", "I've only heard bad things about them", are among the responses I've received lately.  Honestly, all Realtors SHOULD want to sell homes, and Reverse Mortgages are another avenue to educate your potential home-buyer!  Learn the facts about the FHA/HUD backed HECM Reverse Mortgages!  When you learn the facts, it is hard to say anything bad about them!  Some of the original 1970's & 1980's private Reverse Mortgages had more than their fair share of problems, to say the least!  But the HECM Reverse Mortgages have corrected all or certainly most of them!  Learn the facts from myths, start by checking out my previous blogs about myths -

Also check out the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association, http://www.nrmla.org/as well as AARP's information they tell seniors about Reverse Mortgages.  There is a LOT of correct information out there.  Don't let the false information steer you away from making a sale!  It could not only benefit you from a sale that you might not otherwise make, but it could also be a tremendous benefit to the senior buying or refinancing with a Reverse Mortgage!  Just think about the improvement in their quality of life, knowing they have a roof over their head the rest of their life AND can utilize all pensions, Social Security, etc., to pay bills and spend it on things they want for a more enjoyable lifestyle for the rest of their life!
