The ThinkerAre you thinking about buying a home?  Perhaps a townhouse, a condo, or a single family home.  You've been watching the market for a while and think now might be the right time.  Tired of writing that rent check each month, with nothing to show for it and not even being able to paint the walls in your apartment?  Maybe you're doing your taxes right now and realize that you don't have enough tax deductions.

These are just a few of the reasons that now might be the right time for you to buy a home.

My colleagues and I have been noticing an increased buyer demand during the last 4 weeks or so in the Northern Virginia real estate market.  The weather is starting to get a bit nicer and so are the real estate deals.  To cater to this increased demand, we're proud to offer a free homebuyer seminar next Saturday, March 8th in Annandale, Virginia.

Since announcing the seminar several weeks ago, we've had significant interest, with close to 20 people signifying that they will attend.

Here are the Top 6.5 Reasons to Attend Our Free Homebuyer Seminar:

Our Guarantee

1.  You will learn more about the Northern Virginia real estate market.  Guaranteed.  You will walk out of the seminar knowing much more than when you walked in on the morning of the 8th.  Trust me on this one.

2.  You have been reading my blog or receiving my e-mails and will finally get to meet me in person.  I'll even sign autographs if you'd like.  All kidding aside, this is a chance to meet me face-to-face and determine if our personalities mesh enough for us to work together on one of the biggest financial decisions in your life -- the purchase of your home.

Not even a penny. Free homebuyer seminar

3.  It's FREE.  Even lunch is included.  Free Food.  Can't beat that, can you?  Not even a penny.  Additionally, you may walk away with a door prize.

4.  Saturday morning cartoons aren't as good as they were when you were growing up.  Come spend two hours of your Saturday morning with us and take the first steps towards owning your own home.

Answers to your real estate questions

5.  We'll answer your questions.  While we have some things that we'll want to discuss and topics we want to cover, this seminar is geared towards YOU.  We want to know what your questions are about the Northern Virginia real estate market, about the buying process, about mortgages, and we'll answer them.

6.  You won't need much gas to get to our convenient location.  The seminar is being held at the Bank of America Office located at 7619 Little River Turnpike, Suite 1000, Annandale, VA from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Annandale location is right off the Capital Beltway and easy to get to whether you are driving from Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Tysons Corner, or other areas.  And with gas over $3/gallon, we didn't want you driving far or sitting in traffic during rush hour.

6.5  NO SALES PITCHES!  This will be 2 hours of pure education.  We're not asking you to buy books, tapes, or even work with us to purchase your home.  Sure, we'd love the opportunity to work with you and assist you, but there's no obligation, no pressure, and absolutely no sales pitch.

So, what are you still waiting for?  Click here to RSVP today or call Brian Block at 703-626-0715.

LENN:  Thank you for your comment.  We've held a good series of seminars in the past and always had good response.  There seems to be a thirst for knowledge from the homebuyers out there and I look forward to meeting with a sizable group of them next weekend and fulfilling that need for education.

I love the title -6.5 reasons to attend our free home buyer seminar. That right there got my attention. And the fact that you are having it at a bank is even better - That is a great idea. Heck, you might just get people who want to get preapprove for a loan on the spot. I am thinking of even coming. Great post.

Brian good luck on your seminar!  I have a question for you... how are your getting the word out besides blogging on AR?  I'm doing one next weekend and while we had about 12 attendees in Feb. no response yet for March.  My post definitely isn't as interesting as yours.....maybe that's part of the problem.  Mines too BORING!!!  Thanks for any tips on spreading the word!

SANDY:  Thanks for your comment.  I'm looking forward to the seminar today.  I wrote a post about 4 or 5 months ago on Tips for Hosting a Homebuyer Seminar.  You can read that for more information.  Other than the blogging, I've got the info posted on my website and I also sent an e-mailed invitation directly to about 1500 potential buyers.  As of today, we've got 24 RSVPs for the seminar which starts in about 3.5 hours.

SANDY:  Thanks for your comment.  We had a successful seminar.  Although the weather (heavy rainstorms and very very dark skies) kept some people home for sure.  However those that attended seemed to really enjoy the seminar, asked lots of questions, and took copious notes.

Brian:  What a great post.  If I had known, I just might have driven up there for your Seminar.  It's only 1275 miles or so.   Just a nice, pleasant drive through such pretty countryside.  I hope the Seminar went well for you !  Thanks for sharing.

KAREN ANNE:  That's quite a compliment to hear that you would have driven 1,275 miles just to meet me and attend the seminar.  It did go quite well, though with the bad weather that day, the attendance was lower than we had expected.

Brian:  Sure... I lead a boring life, and try not to watch too much TV.  But... last August I drove that 1,275 miles to go to a three-day seminar in Reston at the Reston Hyatt Regency.  I am hoping to go again this coming August.  Take care...
