When I have had folks ask me lately "how is business," I tell them "I have several people that are seriously looking and I just need to find them the right house." In February, I had two clients that were very interested in some very expensive properties. If they had been the right fit, it would have been an outstanding month. These people have not gone away, they will pop up when they like the right listing and in our market they can afford to get what they want.

It really is a numbers game, with a little luck and fate thrown in. I remember last year, when a young gal called me and said she wanted to see properties from $2 - 3 mil. I thought she was a hoax--nope, she had a very wealthy father. I sent her listings for several months--she was out of the country for a while. When she returned we finally found the perfect fit for her.

We cannot forget that when people are looking on the internet for properties, often, they are just in the beginning of their process. It takes time for them to decide what area they want to settle in and what they want and need in a home.

In the meantime, we give them all of the help and guidance they require so that they can make an informed decision when the time comes.
