Let all of your contacts know what you do.

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with P. Timothy McDonald, Esq.

I had an interesting experience the other day.  Someone I do business with called me and asked me if I could refer them to a closing attorney that does comercial real estate.  This was an eye opening question.  I close both residential and commercial real estate.  Surely I tell all my contacts that as often as possible.  Or do I?

Apparently I dont.  Or at least I didnt.  It is up to you to let all your contacts know what you do and often.  THis is sometimes all the more important if you have a lot of contact with the person.  You assume they know.  They do not.  It is up to you to be sure they know.

It is imprtant that you let people know on a regular basis what its is you do.  It may be obvious to you but it is important to let them know all of the aspects of your business.  They cant refer to you unless they do.

It is sometimes so hard to remember the easy things.  Don't feel bad hope they bought from you.

Good Post!
While sometimes we look at all of the high tech stuff we can do to get business we often forget the little things. A good reminder to all

Happy Selling

I completely agree with this. You never know who needs a loan EVER regardless if it is commercial or residential, same for networking with others that are in the sales field but can help out with home improvements, insurance, etc.

My own father forgets what I do half the time I think. He had 2 co-workers that bought houses in the last few months. He knew enough about it to tell me they did, but couldn't think of a good answer when I asked him "why didnt you give them my card?" Great point!

Spokane Washington Real Estate Expert Yeah nothing like your friends telling you they bought a home and you can think of many times you talked about real estate with them. They are just like other leads you have to remind them over and over again.
