My wife and I have our new addition and she is a leap year baby!

Friday 1:55am arrived our first child: Jillian Leigh Namiot 7lbs 3oz, 20"

My wife was due any day and after her exam wed her doctor said it could be any day, my wife was against the leap year birth and after talking it over with her doctor had chosen to go in Thursday early morning and get induced so that we would welcome our new arrival on 2/28/08.

We checked into the hospital at 7am, by 8am the doctor broke her water, we now just had to sit and wait, and wait and wait and wait. here we are 10pm and nothing yet, 14 hours and nothing happening. Finally at 10:30 10cm and she started pushing and pushing and still no baby after 1 1/2 hrs. We are now into 2/29 so our plan had failed. About 12:40 the choice was made c-section, 1:55am we welcomed our beautiful baby girl! On Feb 29th!

Baby and mom are doing great, hope to be going home Sunday, I have been here with both since Thursday and I really need to get home myself....
