Take me out to the Ballgame- Home of the Atlanta Braves (edit/delete)

Atlanta Braves

Since its opening day in 1997 Turner Field has become a must see activity in Atlanta, Ga. Whether you are a die hard baseball fan or not, there is a lot to experience at Turner Field. I have lived in Georgia all my life but had never been to a Braves game until last year.

My daughter's t-ball team participated in a pre game show last year. Children from all over Ga. walked around the field before the game started. As the children passed by the cameras their photos would show on the "big" screens. The kids got a huge kick out of this.

On the Braves website they have a list 101 things to do at Turner Field. Just to mention a few, visit the Braves hall of fame museum, have your face airbrushed at the free Fun Zone or beat the over sized drum. Let's don't forget the food. Hot dogs, popcorn, pizza, snow cones, funnel cakes, dippin' dots, oh my!!

On the way home my 5 yr old described it as "the best day ever". So if you're ever in Ga. during baseball season, check out Turner Field, Home of the Atlanta Braves.

Opening day at Turner Field, at least opening day for the stadium, not the season in 1997, was the Braves and the Yankees.   It was an interleague preseason series! There I was sitting with two of my buddies in this brand new stadium and THEY were Yankee fans.  I was a big Braves fan!

Hello Diana, You know I am born and raised in GA and I love me some baseball as well.  Hopefully me and my family will be able to go to more games that we did last year.  Did you say the food?  Whew!!!! Great food.  Thanks for sharing.
