Toledo Ohio and Pittsburg Pa.

In  approx. 3.5 hours one can be in Pittsburg, Pa..  Now you may be asking why is a Realtor from Toledo, Ohio talking about Pittsburg, Pennsylvania..  I was raised in Erie Pennsylvania, and I have family in Pittsburg.  I can remember going to Pittsburg during the days of the steel mills when you could barely see across one of the rivers.  I also have seen it’s revitalization.  Pittsburg has truly become one of the great cities to work, live, and play.

Well, I think Toledo, Ohio and Pittsburg, Pa. have a lot in common.

Pittsburg was once an industrial city, and the steel business for a variety of reasons left town..   Going right through the middle of the Pittsburg are 3 rivers, it has a large downtown area, and a sport teams that everyone in the area loves.

Now let’s take a look at Toledo Ohio.  We have an industrial base that is shrinking everyday. The Maumee River goes right through Toledo, Ohio.  We have the Mud Hens, a sports team that everyone loves.

So if Pittsburg can change why can’t we.  We have many great things in Toledo.

I believe one of the things we can do is make the downtown area a free tax zone.  This has already been talked about in the media. We need businesses back to the center of our city.  What type of businesses you may ask?  The answer to that is as wide as you imagination will allow you to imagine.  We have the buildings.  Just drive downtown and you will see.

Toledo is a great town to live in.  Let’s go to work.
