Barbara Corcoran-Eatontown Sheraton 2/29 MCAR Breakfast

At the Eatontown Sheraton today, I had the opportunity to hear Barbara Corcoran speak. I have seen her in several interviews but never had the pleasure in person. I believe her life story exudes feelings of the ability to overcome and work with what you got kid attitude.

The down to earth attitude of Barbara leaves you with the thoughts that communication is on the forefront, honesty with yourself and the people that surround is key, and your clients come first.

A question and answer session varied in topic from personal to down and dirty real estate questions.

How do you feel about technology: While a supporter of technology she feels that that personal contact will always be number 1.

I believe a good realtor must learn how to read a clients vibe, the client will let you know how they want to be contacted and kept up to date.

Another question was: Did she have any secrets on nailing down an important listing: She said she would gang up on them. She would always go to an important listing as a team and find what personalities click once you get in the door.

She was also asked about top producer recruiting. Bringing in a high end producer is one of the most difficult things to accomplish she said but with the right techniques this too is possible.

I picked up her book I'll let you know how it was.
