If you are planning on relocating to Baton Rouge, Louisiana it's a great idea to stay informed. Be in "the know" about Baton Rouge events by reading one of the many Baton Rouge newspapers and magazines.

1. The Advocate- This is the mother of all newspapers. This is "THE" Baton Rouge paper. You will probably find everything you need to know in the Advocate. If you aren't hip with the newspaper, it's available online.

2. Southern Digest- If you are or plan on going to Southern University, be sure to pick up a copy of their newspaper. This will keep you up to date on all the happenings of Southern University.

3. Tiger Weekly- It's safe to say that Tiger Weekly is a student newspaper. It is an independent, student-run publication. The Tiger Weekly is free for your first copy and fifty cents for any additional copies.

4.LSU Reveille- This is Louisiana State University's newspaper. This is definitely the paper to pick up if you are wanting to know anything and everything that is going on at LSU.

5. Business Report- This magazine is great to keep up with the business side of Baton Rouge. They have different sections such as: workplace, technology, retail, restaurants, real estate, legal, insurance, industry, health-care, and government/politics. No matter what field you are in, you will be able to benefit from the Baton Rouge Business Report.

6. Parents Magazine- This magazine is for all the parents in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It keeps you up to date on all the day-cares and schools that are available. They also have good advertisement for child photographers, pediatricians, dentists, tutors, boutiques, after school programs and more.

7. 225 Magazine- This is the hippest magazine in Baton Rouge. Not only is it filled with great articles, it features many events that are going on in Baton Rouge each month.

8. Bayou Buzz- Bayou buzz features breaking news and information on business, politics, technology and entrainment.

9. Rhythm City- Rhythm City is another way to find out about great entertainment in Baton Rouge.

10. The Daily Report- The Daily Report basically tells you what is going on in Baton Rouge on a daily basis.

11. Southern Families- Southern Families is a new parent magazine out that is following the "BR Parents Magazine" footsteps. It's a great magazine with great articles pertaining to your children.

 

All of these newspapers/magazines are each unqiue and offer great information on Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
