Have you wanted to add a little spruce to your marketing diet?  Well, here are a few ideas that I hope will get your noodles cooking in the right direction!  If you'd like to have assistance in designing even more ideas or implementing these, just give me a holler!

Here are a few unique holidays that are coming up in April:

April:

2 - International Children's Book Day - International Children's Book Day encourages reading, and promotes the love of books for children.

16 - Stress Awareness Day - This is your opportunity to recognize that there is plenty of stress in your life and an opportunity to learn, and to do something about.

23Take a Chance Day - Today is the day to take a chance on virtually any object or goal.

For each holiday, you can come up with a twist to make it related to real estate in some way.  Here are some suggestions for you:

be happy!International Children's Book Day - Plan to spend an hour or two at a local elementary school, reading to the children.  At the end of your visit, give each child a book.  Inside the book, put your brochure and 2 business cards.  Or you can give each child a bag to take home that includes a new book, and any other information you would like to give their parents.  This is a great way to develop a new area to promote yourself at - a specific school (or schools) in your area!  For examples of places where you can get larger quantities of books at a discount, try these websites:

 

 

Stress Awareness Day - Stress affects us all!  This is a great day to show your buyer and seller prospects that stressnow is the time to get rid of the stress they are feeling as a result of living in a house that is too small or too big! Visit Orental Trading to see some great knick-knacks you can get in bulk for cheap.  Send out a card to each of your Top 50 or Top 100 with one of these knick-knacks included.  Your card could explain how you can help them relieve their stress!  All they have to do is give you a call (or send an e-mail).  Or, you could set up a seminar on this day to talk about how you can help them.  Here are two ideas for things you can send your hot prospects:

 

take a chanceTake a Chance Day - So many of your prospects are just waiting for the right moment to jump in the water and buy or sell.  Well, Take A Chance Day may be just the ticket they were waiting for!  This is a great day to hold a seminar on home buying or selling.  To get a different spin on your seminar, hold it at a restaurant (like Denny's or Bob Evans) with a small buffet available for attendees.

 

The point is to get your name out there, get in front of your leads and your contacts.  Make a name for yourself by doing things that other realtors aren't.  Stand out from the crowd!
