Chow down while getting to know your new Gulf Coast Chamber of CommerceContact: Deanna Casalino FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Feb. 27, 2008   Come chow down on a free lunch while getting to know your new San Carlos Park area chamber of commerce. Beginning at noon, Saturday, March, 8, residents and business people are invited to have lunch at the new Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1 p.m. at the Chamber, 7328 Sanibel Blvd., San Carlos Park. The new chamber is "bridging the gap" for the businesses and residents it serves in the 33967 and 33912 zip code area. The nearest chambers are in Bonita Springs and Fort Myers. The new organization wants to bridge that gap by serving approximately 4,000 businesses in the area, in addition to letting visitors, newcomers and residents have a place to go to find out about their community. "Without the public, there would be no need for professionals," said Charles H. Wheatley, treasurer.
