Since this is my first post on my active/rain blog I felt I should introduce myself. My main web site is JedLane.com and I have another blog site at FogCityGuide.com that I sometimes use for my projects in the neighborhood.
I am the sales manager of a new start-up brokerage, STAR Real Estate Brokerage Inc. here in San Francisco, California. STAR was started by my good friends Mike Marek and Harald Stangl to provide real estate services as they believe it should be done. We are small and reactive to the market, we specalize in one aspect of real estate - - making money - -.
We believe that if we focus on making the most money for our clients they will be happy and then everyone is happy. We don't limit our practice, we will do anything that requires a real estate license. Mike Marek has years of experience and as a Stanford trained electrical and mechanical engineer he loves to analyze. Harald has an MBA in marketing and he loves to influence and sell. I am very connected into the Realtor community and civic life.
I am on numerous committes at our association and enjoy making a difference. I am on the government affairs, education and housing opportunities committees and am most proud of a donation we on the housing committee recommended to the board to contribute $25,000 to help fund EARN SF.
I am also on the the Lowell High School Site Council, we are the group charged with determining how the funds are spent at the school. The council is made up of administration, teachers, students, and parents. I am a parent of one grad and one student. Lowell is one of the highest ranked public schools in America and I'm very proud of my two daughters for making the grade to get in and also for excelling.
I am a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors Surplus Land Citizens Advisoy Committee and the Secretary of the Board of Directors of San Francisco SAFE (Saftey Awareness For Everyone).
I am also the neighborhood coordinator for NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team).
I just got my Brokers license in January 08 after 5 years. I've worked for Coldwell Banker and Keller Williams. I've been coached by Lorna Hines and looked at just about every way of doing this business. I am happy in my new position because I spent most of my professional life in managment and I love to solve situation and steer people towards success.
