The last two days I have spent in Disney in Florida, but the first day we arrived I wasn't too happy with the complex.  I was going around in a circle to find my hotel.  The signage was not consistent and there were no simple turnarounds.  I wasn't happy with the "mouse" at first.

We have the same obligation to our buyers and sellers.  We are pros at what we do.  We can't forget that our buyers and sellers are not used to the "process"  We are used to it but they aren't.  Each and every client should get a road map and a little talk on how we get them to where they want to be.  Communication is the key in the process.  By directing them, explaining things, communicating to our clients is how we get our clients what they want.

Don't be like the mouse! "Being inconsistent in your help will create a unhappy or disgruntled customer.

P>S> Me and the mouse are on great terms now.  How can you be after 2 days in the Disney Parks.

Unfortunately this morning I am off to the snow in Detroit.  Somebody schedule a psychiatrist visit for me.

I'm glad you ended up with a happy time... I've never been, but it is on my wish list! And I'll make sure someone else is driving...

Russ, I agree.  That is where  clear and thorough communication will make your relationship and transaction successful.

Very True.  Disney is one of our family favorites.  Glad it all turned out well for you!!

Russ-

He he!  Yes, I have lived in the shadow of the "rat" pretty much all of my life.  Living in Orlando is great, though, and my father worked at Disney for 22 years, so we could get entrance to the parks whenever.  Since I've grown up, I have been able to take my two kids to Disney parks a few times.  Happily, we are going again tomorrow.  You're right, though--knowing "the ropes" and learning "the ropes" in any process are two very different things.  I'm glad everything worked out for you at Disney eventually.  Come back anytime.  :)

Russ-

I absolutely agree with you regarding the "road map".  Buyers and Sellers trully have no idea of the process, even if they have experienced it before.  As professionals we work day in and day out with the ever changing "process."  It is our duty of due diligence to inform our clients.

Glad you and the Mouse have an understanding!

I was told once that the only difference between being sued and not being sued could be two minutes of showing you care! That is really scary when you think about it, so go show you care and be consistent and I think you are right, I customers will walk away saying how great the experience was.
