AR Blog Posting Glitch That Needs a Remedy

By

 *Update*

Well I don't know how to get the attention of the powers that be at Active Rain, but it does appear that there is a technical glitch in the blog machine. Go to the last page of any group and you'll likely see posts there that have the date 01/01/2001.

The short-term fix is to have someone post a comment against the blog. That will cause it to pop up with the most recent posts in the group.

But I am hopeful someone fixes this issue soon!

Hello,

I had a technical issue yesterday with a blog I posted. I had been going to a forum to post these types of questions, but it looks like those aren't available any longer? I don't see a group specifically for asking support questions, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with the problem I had with my blog.

So here goes...

I posted a blog yesterday (1/31/07). When I look at the blog, it is marked as having been posted yesterday. But when I look at it in the various groups I posted it in, it is dated as 1/01/2001 and consequently sits on the last page of the group and hasn't gotten any visibility as a result.

Is there a way to fix this problem? Is there somewhere else I should pose this question? I've not encountered this problem in the month since I've been on AR.

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers this post.

Veronica

I don't know Veronica but you can go to your post and edit it and re-submit it. See if that helps.

Thanks for your suggestion, Sheron.

I'm not capable of posting a blog and NOT editing it. From the moment I posted it, I spotted something I didn't like and went in and futzed with it. And that didn't change the date showing up in the groups. Durn.

Which post is it Veronica? The new system may have a glitch in it but let me comment on it and see if that brings you up to speed.

Well that did it...I found it by myself (I am really getting to know my way around here in the rain and sometimes snow) and sure enough...you are at the top! Have fun.

Brilliant! And it changed the date appearing for when I posted it.

The snow is falling at this moment. We have had -no kidding- 6 straight weeks of snow and it has never left. They say there hasn't been snowfall like this since the early 1900's. It is THE topic in the city...chat with strangers in the store and everyone is talking about this massive snowfall.

Thanks so much for your help!

Veronica,

When I was living in Lakewood my inlaws came to visit and we were driving down Colfax Ave in the dead of winter. It had been cold and snowing but this day all the snow had been shoveled off the the sides and the sun was shining, we were taking our coats off in the car saying how warm it was. I don't remember exactly where that bank was but the temperature said 10 degrees. We could not believe our eyes. We were hot!

As far as the snow for 6 straight weeks goes...we are in big trouble with global warming. It is the focus of my February newsletter. Would you like me to send you one?

P.S. Sunday it was 40 degrees here and people were wearing shorts. It was a heat wave for us. I remember thinking, maybe I have on too many layers. The Colorado sun is mighty warm tho'...being closer to the sun and all.
