We all like to write about what bothers us...it seems to make us feel better when others empathize and feel our pain. Well I thought I would write about a great experience I had to remind us that not everyone is out to get us!

I am normally a Home Depot person because we live not too far from there. But about 3 years ago when we moved into our home and were preparing the nursery for our expecting son we shopped around. We found some paint that we thought would be perfect! My husband is a mortgag broker...not a handyman and even the simplest job ( painting) seemed to worry me. And of course... it ended up not looking like I had envisioned. We had bought the paint from Lowes along with the paint tarp that we put on the carpet to prevent blue paint from ruining the carpet.
Well, I guess we had bought the wrong tarp because when we were cleaning up there was blue paint all over our carpet. We had called Lowes because we didn't understand why this had happened and they were the ones that had said the tarp wasn't supposed to be for painting. I was upset not at Lowes but at my husband for not knowing any better.
But Lowes to the rescue...they said come on down and pick out any carpet that will work for the room. They let us get new carpet and even installed it all for free for us. I did not expect for them to go out of their way to help us out!
We ended up getting my brother who builds houses to help us repaint the room and got a whole new nursery set up before our bundle of joy arrived.
I wrote Lowes on their website and wrote the manager of the local Lowes at how grateful we were of their exceptional customer service was.
So don't forget about all those that do good for you and make sure that you let them know! We are in customer service and know how important it is to have that feedback and pat on the back when we do a good job!

Naoma-This is also a great way to establish connections. Who knows Lowes might be the one who might give you a referral that might end up being your next big sale. Remember,I am your favoritest- ( Is that even a word? ) Real Estate Professional in the whole wide world so if they are looking for one,I am their man. Great story. Great post.
