Winter in The White Mountains Is So Much More Than Skiing!
I love sharing with my clients who come up looking for Real Estate why I love the Mount Washington Valley. The other day a lady asked what she could do with two small children under 5 who didn't ski?
For a second I was stumped. We focus so much on our great downhill and cross country skiing.
But what about TUBING!
Cranmore Mountain Resort Has a Great Tubing hill for the kids.
Also The Weather Discovery Center in North Conway across from the Eastern Slope Inn. They have great hands-on exhibits for even little kids. www.mountwashington.org/education/center/
What about some Sledding? My favorite is the big hill in-front of the Eagle Mountain House in Jackson. Just make sure to stay off the Cross Country trails. The section in the middle is usually perfect.
And finally, how about going SKIING! That's right, why wait till they are older? You say "I am not paying all that money for just a couple of runs." That's right, so how does $8 bucks sound! Here's what you do.

2nd Get on over to Attitash Bear Peak www.attitash.com . To the Right of the lodge is the "Magic Carpet" and its FREE! If your kids can stand, they can "Ski"! Ok, they won't get going any faster than you can walk or trot next to them but they will be skiing! It will be a day they will never forget.
So, enjoy the Mount Washington Valley regardless of your age! So, get out there and embrace Winter.
