Sad, Sad, Sad Day in Titletown USA (Green Bay, WI)

I've been blessed with the presence of Brett Favre for a big portion of my life. Living in Green Bay you eat, breathe, and sleep the Green Bay Packers. Its the way of life in our wonderful town.

Our man who brought back the Title to Titletown USA has decided to lay up his hat among the greatest in NFL History. It's really hard to see a man with such greatness decide to stop doing what he does best. He has come to grips and has been honest with himself and the Green Bay Packers and what else could we ask for. Brett has really brought this town back together united.

I will always cherish all of the Great Packer Moments Favre has blessed us with.

This one is for you Brett you're an amazing athelete and person and you have done great things, not just in football in Green Bay. You will be forever loved and missed.

Hi Greg - I can't say I am a football fan. I watch some games more than others, and I will probably do it more for the social factor of it. However, I do recognize the moment and am very sad for you, and for other Packers fans. Brett has been such an important player and personality, that it will be hard for the fans to do without him. Take care.

Greg, I know many are sad that he finally retired, BUT I do think it was time. He's battered and bruised and needs a rest at his old age of 38!

I am a Favre fan but I grew up in Dallas, TX so I'll leave it at that. In the end I respect Favre for all of his accomplishments. A dynasty laid to rest. I'm sure this must be difficult for the Green Bay Community.
