Active Rain is so huge and offers so many benefits that even if we are active participants we might miss something and I have to share another wonderful aspect of the Rain. It is the new video section of AR and I found a Seth Godin who is Mr. Marketing to all of us. Everyone of us should see this video! 
Not sure that marketing is important? I have a question for you: Do you want to understand selling to your client? Do you realize you need to sell yourself at each selling presentation and for each buyer interview? Think marketing might help now?
Seth Godin is incredible to watch and we have him right here at AR! Do yourself a favor and watch his video. He is really great and I'm glad I'm here on AR to see it.

What about this strange thing, marketing....???
Think you might need a refresher course....or maybe you thought "marketing" was a bit like the used car salesman down the road? (No disrespect intended, I happen to like the car salesman I met recently; its just something I thought we could visualize easily.)
Marketing make P&G (Procter and Gamble) a HOUSEHOLD word. It made this company billions of dollars through the years and as always marketing is changing. We all need to be willing to change as well. The only way we can stay on top of all the development is to spend time here in the Rain and on all the other networking systems on-line and increase our knowledge and understanding of the marketing capabilities.
As Realtors and Brokers we need to understand that marketing in today's world means:
We need to market to the client.
We need to have a presence on the Internet.
We need to change, adapt and work within the marketing requirements of today:
Our websites should NOT be about how great we are in the business ... it should be about the client.
It needs to be updated often to be relevant.
Our education needs to be at the top level with cutting edge individuals like Seth Godin and everyone one of us should see this video. This is marketing 101 in today's world. We are so lucky to be here at Active Rain and able to watch this video. It is truly excellent.
When you take time to watch the video and you can ask yourself, "Am I remarkable?" We need to be remarkable, to do things in a special way. That's one of the messages I took from the video provided by AR here in the video section of the Rain.
