Before an open house, clean the bathroom thoroughly. 
Then, add a few simple touches to make it feel even fresher and cleaner.   A fresh smelling air freshener with a subtle scent is a good idea.  Change the light bulb to a brighter one, add new bar of soap, new inexpensive

Thank goodness I don't wait for my home sellers to react.  If we are preparing for an open house, I take on the job of getting the kitchen and bath cleaned up, usually they appreciate the assistance without resistance.  Thank you for you comments Michael

Right on.  In this market clean goes a long way to communicating to a prospective buyer that the owner cares about their house.

Hi Tina, not that I offer to clean bathrooms daily.  But If I want to sell it...It gets done.

Must be why my last listing left personal belongings to dispose of and I will ensure that once those are sent off to the consignment store, the home gets a thorough cleaning.  It part of the service to elderly clients.  Thanks Cindy
