Best time to Buy in Four Years - Good News!

Finally some good news coming from the National Media.

A recent article on CNNMoney.com is very informative with regard to home values across the country. The main theme in the article is EXCELLENT NEWS!

Our current market now is giving homebuyers the best buys they've had since 2004 !!

I have been shouting this from my soapbox, website and blog site....and finally the national media is starting to pass along good news to prospective home buyers.

The condition of any real estate market is "Localized" and our market here in Gainesville should not be compared with markets in South Florida.

We have much more stability here, and this map shows which areas have been the hardest hit in the country.

It's a great time to be a buyer ! And it's easy to do!

First, get yourself a Buyer's Agent Realtor to represent you (not the seller).

Second, get a local lender to talk to you about what loan program is good for you and your budget.

Third....start shopping for a home!

Christine: Activity is picking up here also. I believe that buyers have now come to that realization also. The market, just like the stock market, can spin around on you in a nanosecond. Prices may start going up again, you never know. The time to buy is now. Thank you for the link to the article.

Hi Chris Activity is starting to pick up here in Mass but prices have not bottomed yet. I suspect we have some more consolidation before things level off.

Chris~I'm so with you on the fact that you have been shouting this from the roof tops. I too, have done the same in our market. There are just so many that here the national news and insist that it does cover every state when in all reality it depends on the state your talking about. This is such a great time for buyers.

Christine, It is refreshing to see a Realtor that has a positive view about our market. I'm so dismayed about the constant naysayers that think everything is horrible here. Not the case! Every market analysis I do usually shows a trend of single family homes selling between 1 and 2% of their asking price (as long as they are priced appropriately to begin with)! That is certainly not crisis status!
