WHAT TO DO IF YOU CAN'T GET THE BANK TO CALL YOU BACK REGARDING YOUR MORTGAGE

This morning I was watching the NBC Morning Show and one of the segments they have a segment called Money 911 moderated by financial guru Jean Chatzky.   A viewer wrote in stating that she had tried to get the bank to work with her to put a late mortgage payment on the back end of her mortgage.  Over the phone she was told this could be done, but after calling the bank for 4 months unsuccessfully to find out EXACTLY what she needed to do, and getting no response, her home was getting ready for forclosure and her credit had been damaged.  The Morning Show moderator was able to help this viewer out, BUT she gave the phone number for other folks to use who are not getting any cooperation from their mortgage lender to call 888-995-HOME.

Below is the link to the Today Show, open the link and click on the side tab called Money & Tech and search for March 5, 2007 show with Jean Chatzky where you can find additional information.

Thanks for this information.  I've bookmarked it.  It's unfortunate that so many people are unable to figure out where to go to get assistance.
