I have started to send out information on my Squidoo lenses (web pages). Some might be asking what is Squidoo?
Basically its a one page website. You post something that you feel your an expert in. Your page gets a ranking and as that goes up it gets you more exposure on different search engines.
I am looking to develop a few pages for marketing purposes. My thought is that over time I can get my ranking up which will help drive traffic to my other websites...it is easy to use and FREE so I like it.
Some people strictly use it for fun. There are lenses (web pages) on a variety of topics such as business, entertainment, music, education, marketing, people, places, movies, games, etc...
You can actually use it to sell things. Perhaps you have a product you want to sell, you simply create a lens (web page) to help you with that. You can post links to books on Amazon for example and if someone uses your link to buy a book you can get a referral fee. There are many other companies you can refer to like EBAY, CafePress and so on.
If you don't have a Squidoo page I suggest you get one if you have a business or product that you want to market. Also if you are someone that spends time on MySpace or FaceBook you will likely enjoy Squidoo. Perhaps you feel you are a expert in some random topic of interest that does not relate to either of the above...again I suggest you get a lens on Squidoo.
