Boy, has it been a long time since I posted here!
I'm wondering if any of my fellow Realtors out there have noticed a substantial increase in the number of telemarketing calls the past few months while the housing market has cooled down a bit? I kid you not, I am averaging about 3 calls a day from people offering the magic bullet for sales in my farm area, even though most of the calls are from California and Pennsylvania.
I have been called by 4 different agents today alone from House.com telling me how wonderful my website is (they are all reading the same script) and why I need to pay them for all the leads they have. After the second call I decided to have some fun with them. I asked to get free leads, and when I have a closing from one of their leads, I would pay them 15% of my gross commission. No deal, they want the money up front. So much for great leads and why I should deal with them.
It's about as annoying as the political calls I got the past few days. When I asked the Clinton volunteer for $10.00 and I would vote for Hillary in the Ohio Caucus they hung up on me. Now that's funny.
