Cary, NC Real Estate, Wynston Ridge: Custom homes, large wooded lots and "Close to Everything."

We cruised through Wynston Ridge in Cary, NC, last Saturday morning to view the beautiful custom homes and the heavily wooded lots.  The blue sky helped too.

Wynston Ridge is a mature  residential  neighborhood  on the Southeast side of Cary, NC.  Wynston Ridge is located off Holly Springs Road, or accessed through Camden Forest.  See the Wynston Ridge slideshow on Flickr.

Raleigh and NC State University are about a 15-20 minute commute.  The Research Triangle Park, "RTP," is about 25 minutes.  Heavy drive-time traffic can lengthen commutes.  Within a half mile, Tryon Village is nearing completion, and will offer extensive retail shopping, groceries, restaurants, and other services.

Wynston Ridge was developed in the late 1980's by Holly Springs Properties, Inc.  Traditional and transitional 1.5, 2, and 2.5-story homes comprise Wynston Ridge, with home sizes ranging from 2500 to 4100 square feet.  Builders were selected from among the area's best known custom builders.  Cul-de-sac development created quiet streets.  As shown in the photos,  Wynston Ridge  is heavily wooded with mature forest.

Typically  Wynston Ridge  homes  include 4 to 5 bedrooms, 2.5 to 3 baths, extensive use of brick, beautiful .3 to .5+ acre heavily wooded lots, 2 car garages, and dual zone natural gas heat.

School assignments are great Wake County Schools, managed by and subject to change by Wake County Public Schools More information on Wake County Public Schools.

Wynston Ridge has a Homeowners Association.  HOA dues are approximately $61 quarterly and provide for common area maintenance.

Home sales currently fall from the high $300,000's to mid-$400,000's.  Property taxes are under reassessment in 2008 and have been approximately 0.86% of the property's assessed Tax Value.  More information on Wake County property taxes.

Hi Mike,

That blue sky is really something, but I like the neighborhood too. Even though the leaves aren't on the trees at this time of year, that neighborhood looks lush and inviting.

With so many builders scraping lots of their trees, I like to see a community like Wynston Ridge with mature trees and obvious care to the landscaping.

I like shooting a lot when there are no leaves.

That really lets the home stand out.

Of course, we will soon have azaleas blooming, and there will be color every direction you look.

Camera will be working overtime!
