Gas Leaks In Vacant Homes - Agents Beware!

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Gundaker

gasJust a friendly piece of advice...

Our local board recently warned us that there have been numerous reports lately of natural gas leaks inside vacant homes. They've encouraged all of us to use extreme caution when showing a vacant home. When you open the door, wait and smell the air before entering. If you smell natural gas (which smells like rotten eggs) do not enter (and especially don't turn any lights on). Close the door and call the listing agent or the gas company immediately.
