There have been many posts of late on Twitter, Maureen Francis has even started a twitter group here on Activerain.I just finished watching a video on Common Craft blog my Lee LeFever.

I love Lee's work, it was his blog on RSS Made Simple that I finally "got it". I'm a plain English kind of girl so his video's really help me.

We are having a great time over there, and getting to know each other, which it the whole point of blogging in 140 characters.

Yea, I know most people don't get twitter, me either at first.

Now I do.

Twitter is fun, is it addicting, just like here.

Watch the video, and come on over, you will find many of us there twittering away and getting to know each other.

How many other places can you really chat with the famous Jeff Turner?

Missy... I haven't fallen prey to the Twitter Addiction but see it more like a combination of chat room text with party line comments all jumbled together.  I can understand the fun and relevance from a social aspect but don't comprehend the business application other than basic socail networking.  At this point I have enough distractions from work...

I log on to Twitter, get confused, then log off.  I don't know why I find it so challenging when it really is quite simple to others.

Dan, people post links to what is happening, their posts, their photos. I have been sent many places and enjoy the interaction. It is immediate and quick. Like right now someone just posted on some small explosion in NYC. so if you are interested you hop over and check out the link.

Kris, join me at  twitter.com/missycaulk.  I think you would like it once you started talking.

HI Missy,

I understand a little more about twitter now, thanks to you posting this video. I'm so bogged down with things right now that I don't know where I'd find the time for twitter.....however I may try it out later today.

thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Missy, I just watched this video last night posted over on The Real Estate Zebra.  It really does finally explain the Twitter phenomenon in plain English.  I'm not sure whether I've got the time for twittering around right now.

Hi Missy,  Thanks for a great post.  Like so many others, I have been to Twitter and just don't know what to do.  I will give it another shot because I know there are so many people who love it - I just am not getting it.  I will go back and look for you!  Love the blog :)

I have heard all this chatter about twitter, so I am going to look into it. Who is this Turner person that you mention and why is it such an honor to connect with him?

Missy, I set up a twitter acount.  It is supposed to be very easy but I am somehow making it very confusing.  I don't know how to find anyone.  I haven't quite figured out how it gets used in business.  I really don't like text messaging so not sure if it is a good fit or not.  Very twitter confused at the moment as you can tell.

Missy, should I have used my name; if so I didn't.  http://twitter.com/springtx  I guess I could set another one up with my name as you will see not much has been done with this.  I just set it up Tuesday.

Ok Marchel I am following you. So now go follow me. From there you will see the other 120 people I am following so you just click their photo and add them. Then when you are online you can chat with us.

Diane, what's your name over there?

Missy,  This is too funny.  Been on twitter for a while, just didn't seem to be working.  Was even thinking of not going back there this morning when I signed up for Qassia, but know I'm going to click and follow you.  It's always been hard for me to find people.  Now you say that you have a group on there.

Sorry, take that back.  It's too much of a pain.  Used your link above and got to your page, but couldn't figure out how to follow you.  Search your name with an without a space and it came back with no results.  Then clicked on find and follow and it wants email addresses.  Aarrrgggh!

Cool.  I didn't know about the AR twitter group.  Twittering just doesn't seem intuitive to me.  I mean the basic idea, write a short idea and then post is very simple, just the following/being followed and communicating to others  confuses me.

Hi Missy...This video was interesting to learn about how Twitter started.  It's definitely evoloving.  I like the fact that you can get fast information about stuff on the web which I find interesting.  It's also fun to drop in from time to time to see what people are up to.

Missy - Thanks for the post and the Twitter explanation.  I've been to Twitter, but like so many who commented earlier I have a hard time "getting it" and knowing how to get started.  I have a feeling like I'm spreading my cyber self pretty thin (for my comfort level), but I'll have to keep forging ahead and learn something new.  Thanks for the encouragement.
