Kevin and Monica, on looking at both these lists, it seems like unemployment runs a range of about 3% to 7% in the best to worst states.  This also means that employment is running between 93% to 97%.  I think the biggest obstacle to getting a job may be in which sector of the job market you're looking.  Some job seekers may have to retrain for another specialty.  Historically speaking, total employment is still relatively high.

Kevin & Monica, What an interesting list.  Being in the top ten is good news for your state--and YOU.  I was looking for New York and guess it must be somewhere in the middle.

Montana must be close to Number One for natural beauty... The employment numbers are interesting.  There is a great deal of open space in Montana, so I'm thinking most of the employment must somehow be centered near cities?

Hi Penny, thanks for your comments about Montana. Most of our employment is centered around the cities.
