Aloha Everyone,

Not a great day for rates.

Rates took a dip in the beginning of the week, ending the trend of over a month of rate increases. However yesterday and today have not been pretty as rates went up again.  A projected economic slow down may have played a factor.  According to ADP employment fell by 23,000 jobs.  Oil prices went up again over $100 a barrel for the first time.

808 Home Mortgage, Inc. offers wholesale mortgage interest rates from different lenders/banks, typically lower than their advertised retail rates (if consumers went to them directly rather than through a broker.) This morning for a 30 yr fixed mortgage it's looking like 6.25% with 1 point, 6.375% with .5 points, or 6.5% with 0 points.

Let me know if you want me to run specific scenarios for your Hawaii Mortgage Refinance or Hawaii Real Estate Purchase!

Sally - I know, I should have also!  Lately it's been a real gamble on when to lock a rate.... feels like Vegas sometimes!
