Welcome to Ft. Bragg, NC, Home of the 82nd Airborne Division. You are among the most elite group of Soldiers in the Armed Forces.  Ft. Bragg is located in the city of Fayetteville just SW of Raleigh, our state capital.                                  

Some of the many things you will experience here is an Airborne Operation in progress with troops actually trying to land on the Drop Zone.  We still do our early morning physical fitness all across the post.  In fact, some of the roads are closed to traffic from 6:45 to 7:45 for safety of those running.                                           

One of the annual upcoming events held on Ft. Bragg is All American Week, May 19-23, 2008.  This event is held to honor all of our paratroopers, past and present.  Paratroopers throughout Ft. Bragg come together to compete in athletic competitions to gain "BRAGGing" rights.  The start of the festivities begins with the traditional 4-mile run with cadence reverberating through the Division.  Whether you are running with the Division or hearing it from your home or car, you can't help but feel the sense of patriotism, pride and gratitude for what our Soldiers and families sacrifice daily, weekly and yearly.
