Southeast Proposed Development Boise, Idaho

Besides AVIMOR, which is a new planned community located north of Boise, the expanded potential growth is now taking a turn, looking strongly at the Southeast area.

Vista- 2,250 homes on 1,048 acres near Kuna-Mora Road and S. Cole Road.

Vision First- 1,440 acre planned community off Interstate 84 and Blacks Creek Interchange.

Five developers currently own 15,000 acres adjacent or near Boise's area of impact.

Orchard Ranch- Covers 2,554 acres and includes 8758 residential units in a variety of styles and pricing. This community build-out date is proposed in stages over a 20-year period.

These future potential developments are only scratching the surface of the Treasure Valley.  Is it any wonder why we look so ripe for growth.  Our quality of life and being a hub to the Coast of Washington, Oregon, and California makes us prime.

I for one, would like to see more industry from out-of-state businesses come to our area to help support the future development. Better yet how about a Community College?

Currently driving our market is Forbes magazine among others.  We were ranked #5 in the Nation last year for quality of living and home pricing.  We are still seeing alot of Californian's relocating to our area due to home prices, compared to what Calif. homes are selling for. They can get twice the home here for the money.  Also the Treasure Valley is known for it's outdoor activities year round.  We also see alot of relocations coming in being hired by Micron Technology and Hewlett Packard.  Nascar is also looking closely to opening a new track east of Boise off Simco Rd.
