WOW!   I was shocked and pleased to read in today's Island Packet newspaper that our local Hilton Head Humane Association saved over 824 animals in 2007.  Can you even realize what an undertaking this is for the dedicated volunteers?  Not to say the expense involved in maintaining and caring for these animals.  Considering that our local humane association is and has always been a "NO KILL" group, those figures are pretty impressive.
