$275k FHA Loan Limits in Austin Texas Vs. $332K in San Antonio? Do homes in San Antonio cost more? If so, Why?

Did the loan officer that gave me these figure get this wrong or did San Antonio really go up to $332K?

Per the HUD website that is correct, but it doesn't make any sense to me either. Median home price in San Antonio is nowhere near as high as Austin, and the FHA limits were raised to 125% of median.

Median price or Median Income levels?

I don't understand either in DFW the limits are now 271,000 the cost of housing is still high for a good area. I think we needed at lease 300,000

The loan limits are based on median home price. Unlike the non-FHA alternative 'Emerging Markets' or 'My Community' loan programs, FHA loans do not have income restrictions.

Emerging Markets? For those of us in the south Texas market the constant question for us , is something coming to San Antonio? and if so what could we expect here in poor town as our neighbors call us.
