Good Morning Fellow Realtors,
What a week I have had with callers. A majority of US citizens know that you can purchase a home and/or land a little cheaper than other states, but let me tell you about 2 comical situations.
#1 I have a motel that I am selling here and besides the usual questions I get a caller from New Jersey. Normally, the first question I receive is about the financial situation, but not this person. His first question was, "How far are you from New Jersey?" I replied, "New Jersey, do you mean the state of New Jersey?" "Yes," he replied, "I just want to know that if I purchased the motel, how far I have to go to managed it periodically." To me, this was an odd question.
#2 My favorite, is I am selling a 600 acre farm land with mineral rights. I receive this e-mail from an individual at a government agency, asking what can grow on the land. I e-mail back that last year, the farmer grew wheat, corn, and sunflowers on the land last year. He e-mails me back, sorry, this won't work, I need land that can grow grains. For those who don't know ND farming, wheat is a grain, along with barley, durum, etc. Someone must of told him at work that wheat is a grain, because now he won't answer my e-mails.
If anyone else has a comical situation, I would like to hear about it.
