Go Away, make money!

When I first started in REal Estate my boss said ...plan a vacation and the buyers will come.   How crazy is that theory?  But it is soooooo true.   I was at the C21 Conference and sold two houses?   How does this happen...is there a great cosmic shift that screams..."she's away, buy now and screw up her time off".  Smiling.  I am not complaining although my husband would have liked to have seen me less with my phone to my ear.   I also managed a few listing appointments for when I came home.  I believe the real estate gods know when to throw us a curve ... and this was the busiest vacation ever... I need a vacation from the vacation.   I know that you are all feeling very sorry for this complaint of sales...right>?  I can hear the tiniest violins...

Steve Clay noted it is busy on Cape Cod.   I pray that it is busy where you are.   The signs of the economy turning around are showing on the Cape and full time, full service Realtors are busy...

My husband tells me all the time to plan a 3 week vacation every month! It never fails when you have planned something, you are needed!

It feels that way sometimes.  I think everytime I plan some time away, things tend to pick up right before leaving.

Congrats, Annie!  Love your quote: "Full time, full service realtors are busy."  So true!

Things are really humming along quite well up at this end of the Cape as well!

Annie, I have seen this vacation effect as well. Why when we take time off every one is interested in our time? Makes no sense.

Business is quite busy on Cape Ann. The Gloucester market is buoyant right now. Gotta love it!

You are SO right. Plan a trip and the business will follow! I had a trip to Quebec City planned for New Years. Sure enough, one of my listing went under agreement and the closing was scheduled for the morning I was to leave. All worked out fine. Now, I am heading to Florida at the end of the month and, yes, another under agreement with the closing the morning after I get back.

Sometimes you think I can't go away, that's my busy time. But, you have to remember your family too needs some attention, so take the lap top with you and hope that you can do both.
