Buying a Home in Hawaii

Hawaii.  Just the word alone brings images to most of our minds.  White sand beaches, swaying palm trees, a refreshing Mai Tai under an umbrella, are things that many of us can only dream about.  BUT for those that are willing to take that step, these things are a daily reality! 

Do I drive to the beach every afternoon at dusk to watch the sunset under a palm tree with a Mai Tai in hand?  No, I have not done that for many years...but I used to!  I prefer sitting on the wall on Diamond Head at lunch time with a plate lunch watching the surfers and smelling the wonderful sea air!

Hawaii is a year 'round place.  That means that our out door activities pretty much take place year round.  Kids sport teams for after school, adult soccer leagues and Volleyball teams, Golf, Tennis, Open Ocean Swimming, Kayaking, Canoe Paddling, Jogging, you name it!  Some places in Hawaii get over 100 inches of rain each year and some get very few.

Homes in Hawaii can range from the low $200,000s to the Multi Millions.  There are wonderful areas all around the Islands that are as unique and different as the people that live in them.  There are a great deal of homes on the market now, so much so that when someone calls me and says, "I am looking for a newer home around 1800 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths." I know exactly where to take them to several just like that!
