Please Say A Prayer

Someone very dear to my husband, David, has died...his grandmother Olivia.

She was born November 7, 1907.  Her family and her faith was everything to her.

Earlier this week, when her body could no longer fight the pneumonia, a priest was called.  After praying with her, he said "Your sins are forgiven".  She looked up at him and said "All of them", smiled, then a short time later went into a coma.

Please say a prayer for both of them.

thank you

Alex--I am sorry if I was not clear.  David is my husband and it was his grandmother, Olivia who died.

Thank you for your prayers.  Prayer can be so powerful.

Hi Jacqueline,

My deepest sympathies to your husband and your family. I pray that you will all feel the Lord holding you close as you grieve the loss of this extra special person. Saying good-bye is never easy, but it is easier when you know that your loved one is now with Jesus.

Hugs to you today,

Pamela

Hello Jacqueline, i'm praying right now, that the peace of God, which passes understanding will keep David's mind and heart through Christ Jesus.  What a blessing it is to have lived for 99 years and be clothed in your right mind before departing into the waiting hands of a loving Savior.  I pray that David sees it that way, and becomes comforted.

Diane--Thank you for those loving words.

David found such peace hearing that his grandmother said those words before dying.  He told me he could imagine the little smile she must have had on her face as she closed her eyes for the last time.  I pray that I am blessed to have that peace before I meet our Lord.

Jackie,

We'll keep your family in our prayers!  The best comfort is knowing that his grandmother is now in heaven with our Father, where we all strive to be.

Jacqueline, As I read all the wonderful prayerful comments, I cannot help but think, wow, this is so awesome, to have so many people in on a families grief, asking other Christians to pray for your husband.  I think having a place to come to, and ask for prayer is indeed the way God wants it to be.  The Internet is sometimes taken by so many people as a bad experience, wish we could show so many others that it is not always the case,...as for right now, as I ask God to give his love to your husband and allow the calmness and peace come to him at this time.  God is good, and I know He will honor all the requests made here.

God bless your family, real good.  Bob

Bob--Thank you for your prayers.  And, I totally agree...it is wonderful that people have a place to share in prayer without fear of ridicule.  A big thank you to Alexander Harb "The Knights Team" PSEM®, E-AGENT® for starting this group.
