Whether you're relocating to a new area, going on a vacation trip, or just trying out a new course in your local community - this is something you'll want to check out!

Local entrepreneurs in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, recently launched Golf Flyover to provide a virtual tour of golf courses all over the country.  While their goal is to offer flyovers for every course in America on their website, they launched with about 5,000 of the estimated 18,000 courses.  Eventually, they hope to go worldwide.

Aerial views of golf courses have been available for some time, using Google Earth, yet it wasn't possible to know which hole was which when viewing it.  Now, you'll be able to see each tee and green, the terrain and the numbered holes.

Golf Flyover revenues will come from advertising and special services, such as viewing screens installed on golf carts to display the virtual tour; right now, it's free to consumers.  The company's target audience is golfers who travel to golf destinations, but I believe it will be very helpful for real estate:


HOME SELLERS -  Those who back to a golf course, and others living in golf course communities;  

HOME BUYERS - Those who may be golfers, and others who enjoy open space in their community and near their home.

Fran, I think my husband is upstairs playing with the site now, as I work!  lol.

Pamela - Most of my pictures (including these aerial photos of golf courses) are istockphoto.com.  I have a decent library of them now, because I save them for re-use in the future.  And, of course, I take lots of photos, as well.

Margaret- Where is this post showing up on google and for what keywords? Tighten up your keywords to get more placement. Golf is a highly competitive keyword online. Do some longtail with this post.

Katerina - Always trying to keep me on track - it's a tough job, but someone has to do it!  You know, I could have written this as a relo post with more local keywords, but I'll do that in the FocusOnCrofton version next week.  I always try not to duplicate content exactly - and FocusOnCrofton is where I want people to go when they find me on google.  (Less competition there!)

Lanre - I suspect you'll run across some.  And you could use it for a relo post, with so many golf courses in the area - you could do a post on golf inside the beltway!  There are a few, I believe!
